Two Hats Blues Band

You thought the only good things to come out of Bolton was Fred Dibnah and Peter Kaye. Well you can add to that list the Two Hats Blues Band. We’ve got a different type of 3 piece band here, one on harmonica and kick drum, one on guitar, mandolin etc and one on an upright bass – always good to hear a slap bass. These guys describe their music as Delta/Roots blues with a bit of ragtime jazz thrown in. They seem to have come from nowhere but are now appearing in lots of local gigs. I saw them recently and they were great fun, playing their own take on lots of blues classics but also a varied range of several styles of music, sometimes with 3 part harmony. What better way to start a Sunday afternoon, you’ll love them.
