WHERE THE BLUES MEETS THE GREENERY

WELCOME TO OUR WEBSITE CELEBRATING THE DIGGLE BLUES FESTIVAL. Yes, we started in 2009 and every year since(apart from 2020 and 2021 due to Covid) we have been bringing fabulous Blues music to our beautiful village, Diggle in Saddleworth. We offer a weekend soaked in Blues music….. with food, soft drinks, beers and wine available at all our venues. We have realised (and are flattered) that many Blues artists are now contacting us, wanting to be part of our annual festival and we recognise that this is all due to our audience who really show their appreciation.

Each year we scour the whole country for great Blues music and have a line-up we are proud of. We have bands from all over the country as well as our local talent.

If you are visiting the festival for the first time, please refer to the Weekend Timetable which is found in the festival programme and on our facebook page as well as on this website. The times of the acts are planned so that you can watch the first act at the first venue, have half an hour to walk to the next venue and watch the second act, and so on. The Timetable takes you on a tour of 7 venues in Diggle, enabling you to see all 11 acts over the weekend. To financially support our festival, each year we have a souvenir tee shirt available for sale and also programmes full of blues information as well as Festival Timetable, information on the acts and venue information. We hope you will support our Festival by purchasing one of these as a souvenir. You can also support us by gifting a suggested £1 or more at the end of each performance where collection buckets will be found at the exit points.
